About Me

The Woman Behind Fresh Starts After 40

For most of my life, I was known by one name.

Mom.

And not just mom to one or two children — but to seven amazing kids. My life was full. Loud. Busy. Beautiful. Every day was filled with school runs, dinners, schedules, laughter, chaos, and the constant rhythm of raising a family.

Being a mother wasn’t just something I did.
It was who I was.

For years, my focus was making sure everyone else had what they needed — love, support, guidance, encouragement. And I wouldn’t trade those years for anything in the world.

But something happens when the kids grow up.

One by one they start building their own lives. They move out. They create their own families, dreams, and routines.

And suddenly… the house gets quieter.

When my youngest left, I remember standing in the kitchen thinking:

“Now what?”

Not in a sad way exactly — but in a reflective way.

For the first time in decades, I had space to ask myself a question I hadn’t thought about in a long time:

Who am I outside of motherhood?

That question is what started this journey.

Why I Created Fresh Starts After 40

Fresh Starts After 40 was born from a simple realization:

Life doesn’t end when the kids grow up.
In many ways, it’s just beginning again.

But that transition can feel confusing.

You may feel proud of the life you built — but also unsure about what comes next.

You might be wondering:

  • What do I want now?

  • What brings me joy?

  • What dreams did I put on hold?

  • What does my next chapter look like?

I created this space because I know I’m not the only woman asking these questions.

There are so many of us stepping into a new phase of life — one filled with possibility, rediscovery, and growth.

This Is Not About Starting Over

One thing I’ve learned on this journey is that life after 40 isn’t about starting over.

It’s about starting fresh with the wisdom, strength, and experiences you’ve already earned.

Every chapter of life builds on the one before it.

Motherhood didn’t end my story.

It prepared me for the next one.

A Question for You

If you’re here, chances are you’re also navigating a new chapter.
